France is served by several distinct gateway markets. Paris has separate airports with very different locations, Nice anchors the Riviera and Monaco corridor, Lyon serves the Rhône-Alpes, Marseille covers Provence, and Toulouse is central to south-western France. Total road time matters more than the city name attached to the ticket.
CDG is the principal long-haul Paris gateway; ORY is south of the capital and useful for many domestic and European flights. NCE is strongest for Cannes, Antibes and Monaco, while LYS, MRS and TLS lead their regional transfer markets.
