Poland’s airport market is geographically broad. Warsaw has two distinct airports, Kraków and Katowice overlap for southern destinations, and Wrocław, Rzeszów and Lublin anchor important regional corridors. Airport choice should reflect the final voivodeship, not simply the city used in airline marketing.
WAW is Warsaw’s main airport close to the capital; WMI is a separate low-cost gateway north-west of the city. KRK is strongest for Kraków and western Lesser Poland, while KTW can serve Silesia, Kraków and some mountain routes. Regional airports reduce long road transfers when schedules align.
